Information you share
When you submit the booking form at /book-david, you choose what to share. That typically includes your name, email address, organization, event format and date, audience description, and the message you write. We collect only what you enter — nothing hidden.
Booking inquiries are read personally by David Lee Jensen. Replies come from him directly. The site doesn't forward your submission to a third-party sales tool, CRM, or mailing list.
Information collected automatically
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may log limited technical data about each request — IP address, browser user-agent, referrer, and timestamp — for security, abuse prevention, and performance. This is standard for any website hosted on Cloudflare. We do not enrich, resell, or profile this data.
The site does not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other cross-site tracking service. There are no advertising cookies.
Cookies
The site uses no first-party cookies for tracking. Cloudflare may set technical cookies required for security features (e.g. bot mitigation); these are not used to identify you across other sites. You can disable cookies in your browser without losing access to the site's content.
How your information is used
The sole purpose of the booking-form data is to respond to your inquiry and, if we move forward together, coordinate the engagement. Your email address is not added to any newsletter or marketing list without your explicit opt-in.
Who has access
Booking-form submissions are received by David Lee Jensen and, where necessary, a small team supporting his business (e.g. an assistant coordinating calendars). They are not shared with advertisers, data brokers, or third parties outside that scope.
Infrastructure providers (Cloudflare for hosting, the email provider that delivers your message) process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms, strictly to deliver the service.
Data retention
Booking inquiries are retained as long as they remain relevant — typically the duration of any engagement plus a reasonable period afterward for business records. You can ask us to delete your inquiry at any time (see Your rights below).
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and routed through Cloudflare's network, which provides standard protections against common web attacks. No system is perfectly secure; we use reasonable safeguards but cannot guarantee absolute security of any data you transmit.
Your rights
Regardless of where you live, you can write to hello@davidleejensen.com to:
- Ask what information we hold about you.
- Request correction of anything inaccurate.
- Ask us to delete your information.
- Object to a particular use of your information.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the UK GDPR and EU GDPR give you additional rights, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. The lawful basis for handling your booking inquiry is your consent and our legitimate interest in responding to you.
If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information.
Children
The site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has submitted information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
This policy may change as the site and business evolve. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
